Today Twerps came to WMUC and hung out on the rooftop garden for a while and we caught up since it had been 19 months since I’d talked to them, so it was chill. And then me and Emily interviewed them for about 20 minutes on the air and it was good. It’ll be on Dream in Japanese and In Afternoon Air on Friday. You can listen to me laugh awkwardly a lot because that’s what I do and I was really excited.
Tonight, we saw Twerps and Alex Bleeker and the Freaks at Black Cat and it was pretty awesome. Bleeker and company shredded and definitely have that countryish rock vibe down but not in the annoying way. He also shouted out my Babies shirt from the stage. Cred. Then Twerps just threw down an amazing set. Between “Work It Out” and “Dreamin’” and “Coast to Coast” it was a ridiculous set. They are also the nicest people in the world. In the world.
